How It Works:

The encrypted backup in iCloud is password-protected, enhancing data security. To maintain the definition of a cold wallet, BitKey ensures that raw private keys exist momentarily in device memory only during transaction signing.

#2 Q: How can I withdraw funds? 
A: BitKey acts as a secure cold wallet for preserving bitcoin keys; therefore, typical fund withdrawal processes are more relevant in hot wallets or cryptocurrency exchange contexts.

#3 Q: How can I add funds to my account? 
A: In the capacity of a cold wallet, BitKey allows users to import bitcoin private keys instead of adding funds directly. Direct fund additions align more with hot wallets or cryptocurrency exchanges.

#4 Q: How can I make transactions/pay? 
A: BitKey provides a transaction sign tool enabling users to sign transactions locally before broadcasting them to the Bitcoin network.

 <li>Setting an encryption password during the first app launch is crucial for data protection.</li>
 <li>Each subsequent app launch requires the entry of the encryption password for data decryption.</li>

WARNING:
The encryption password is never stored on the device or uploaded to iCloud; it temporarily remains in memory solely for data decryption purposes. Users are advised to provide helpful password hints as they cannot retrieve their data without the password. Password hints are backed up on and uploaded to iCloud.
